One part,two views.
Pattern — MIDI describes notes, timing, velocity and duration.
Performance — Two hands, two feet, one kit — and time to move.
A MIDI file describes notes and timing. It does not describe the hands, feet, reach and movement needed to perform them.
MIDICHECK adds that physical layer. It maps notes to actions on a defined instrument and checks them against a model of one player.
A flag is not a judgement of the music. It marks a conflict within the model so you can decide whether to change the part.
Current work
DRUMCHECK applies the method to drums, checking limb combinations, repetition speed and movement around a defined kit. It is a working prototype. Other instruments may follow; they are not current features.
